I shot this short 30-second time lapse in my backyard last night.
This isn't my first TL. My past experiences were hit or miss. I wanted to do more and hit up the googles. I found this great tutorial. The key to a good TL is the math and the site - linked below - has the math formula.
Shot on my D200 with a 60 f2.8 lens, set anywhere from f11 to f22 at ISO 100 to drag the shutter. That dragged shutter helped with the smooth look. Or at least that was my intent. A shot every 8 seconds for about 90 minutes for a frame count of about 800. Frames are fine jpg.
I post my work in Premiere CS4. This time I didn't automate the layup; just selected all in the bin and placed them in the timeline. No transitions should mean a more blocky look.
Let me know what you think.
