Amitabh interview about Abhishek phone call 1991

This conversion took place when Amitabh was fighting bofor case and Abishek was in USA for his studies.
Amitabh tried his hand at politics in late 80s. As a result of his huge popularity, not to mention his close association with the Gandhi family, he was elected to parliament with a huge majority in his home city of Allahabad. But the stint in politics didn't last long: he was implicated by a newspaper in the Bofors scandal, which involved millions of pounds of kickbacks allegedly being paid to senior politicians, officials and arms agents as a bribe for the import of weapons.it was rumored that he might have been involved in the Bofors scandal. Bachchan was not implicated in the corruption and has since distanced himself from the Gandhi family. Bachchan denies that the these events were connected, commenting that he "should have never got into politics.
