@JailerOfThePit That's true, but I use laser as the actual shot looks like a laser or even Sun-burning plasma! I only use the term as anyone and vryone can generally relate with the word!

@ohkabomb917 Correction: Not me!! I want laser beams etc, lifes not fun without lasers! Quite a fair amount of Earth's population do not like change, it removes security, makes the world unsafe, puts us in danger. The Earth was beleived to be flat, it gave us structure and helped everone understand, the Earth is Round (Obviously), back then this information scared people, it was new and unkown and scary. Ergo, Change may not be wrong, but it doesn't stop people from disliking it!

@linkxsc Even though this is a game, the laser weapon could be far different to our view of them; for all we know they could be a lance of concentrated nuclear blast energy held in place by some gravity stuff until it hits you, I'd like to see copper survive that! Not only would the dissipitating gravitic force crush and rend but the nuclear blast would convert you to slag! Well thats my theory!

@Fleedling whats so bad about that, actually if the covenant was using lasers they wouldnt be as effective (thermodynamics and thermal radiation through lasers adn all that) even simple reflective armor based on polished copper would reflect like 93% or something of thermal radiation from lasers. But humanity's choice to use ballistics is jsut simply because they're most used to it. They can make better guns, but why switch to plasma weapons when the guns are still working fine?

@WorldsMostWated Warhammer 40,000 will agree: We are arragont, SO we go and fight he aliens! Aliens the movie: Curiosity this time will make us go fight aliens. In fact, your whole comment IS reason for the humans to go fight aliens, when have you seen a human (film, game or otherwise) not eventually turn around and duff the tentacled (or otherwise) creature thats pestering them? Even in reality you can sadly still see humans fighting aliens which are in this case foreign humans
