just some video of my 10 foot homebrew wind power turbine spinning in the breeze. very exciting to finally see it working! 5-10 amps (100-200watts) in the 12 mph breeze. hope to get more when its up on the 60 foot tower- just waiting on warmer weather to pour the concrete. thanks to all who have been encouraging me, especially my wife and kids, and thanks to the Lord for another fun project!

By the way, Do you have brakes on your windmill?

@Wizo9218 thanks, but its not big enough to make a dent in my bill, it produces about 30 KWH per day average over the last 2 yrs, still, it does help a little.
no brakes, just a furling tail and let her ride out the storms- so far so good. Roger

you bet... i just got it up on my 60 foot tower and there is just about 10x more wind up there, check out my other video of raising the tower. you were right on target!! getting 780 watts at 25 mph and about 100 watts at 12mph. yea!
