Noah Klieger (2/8) Jewish immigration to Palestine after WW2

Holocaust survivor and journalist Noah Klieger gives a lecture to foreign reporters in Jerusalem 22 January 2008.

In part 2 of 8 he
- narrates about his involvement in a Jewish underground organisation after the World War II. Their aim was to support Jewish immigration to the British mandate area in Palestine.
- tells about his time as a crew member of the Exodus, the most famous ship of Jews fleeing from Europe to the land which was soon to become Israel.
- comments the Arab's rejection of the UN partition plan in 1947.

Den franske jøden Noah Klieger overlevde Holocaust. 19. mai 1948 kom han til Israel, og deltok i den nye jødiske statens uavhengighetskrig. Klieger arbeider som journalist i Israels største avis. Hans redaktør mener han er den eldste aktive journalist i verden.

I denne videoen gir Noah Klieger et foredrag til utenlandske journalister i Jerusalem 22. januar 2008.

I del 2 av 8
- forteller han om sitt arbeid i en jødisk undergrunnsorganisasjon etter Den andre verdenskrig. Målet deres var å støtte jødisk immigrasjon til det britiske mandatområdet Palestina.
- forteller han om tiden som mannskap på Exodus, det mest berømte skipet med jødiske flyktninger fra Europa til landet som kort tid senere skulle bli Israel.
- kommenterer han arabernes avvisning av FNs delingsplan fra 1947.

This man is a liar. How come the British favoured the This guy is economical with the truth, to say the least. If it were not for the British, Jews would never be in Palestione today. How come Britain was favouring the Arabs. If anything is that the newcomers started terrorism and to uproot people from their lands by force. Israel today.exist s in more than 70% of the land. The Arabs ask for only 22% of their original land. Guess what? They won't give it!

I wonder, if you're a holocaust survivor and came into Phalastine as illegal immigrant after being expelled from Europe how do you approve what you're doing in Phalastine. I was supporting you but I changed my mind and no doubt that you will see another holocaust cuz the natives there are going to fight back and will never give up. This what history says. Don't rely too much in what is going on today. Tomorrow is coming.
