@AnnikaMorozov or that italian born in the Spanish Italy, i don't know
-
@AnnikaMorozov they say also that it was composed by a Portuguese, or even it is an anonymous composition.
-
If this was composed by Guglielmo da Pesaro, isn't it Italian?
-
@MLpossible Many say the Middle Ages ended in what is now Spain and Portugal in the mid-1450's when these nations started venturing beyond the Mediterranean.

This is "La gamba" , apparently this is an anonymous ground bass, famous throughout Europe in the 16th century (like Passamezzo antico, romanesca "guárdame las vacas" and others). It's the first time I hear of this ground bass as being attributed to a composer, specially from the 15th century.

@Tsugimoto1 search for "Pavana con su glosa" of Antonio de Cabezón.
Sorry mate but middle ages finished in Europe during the beginning of XVI century! Except Italy, which developed the Renaissance throughout the 1400s :) See wikipedia just in case :)
