@Datnigro Omar is a wonderfully soulful player. it doesn't show in this, but neither does John or Flea. Listen to Vicarious Atonement, Asilos Magdelina, Since We've Been Wrong, The Widow and Roulette Dares (The Haunt of) (all by The Mars Volta) to get the idea. Omar wrote the all the instrumental parts for all the songs listed and every other Mars Volta song.
