The definitive performance of one of Neil's truly great obscurities, never released on any official album. This tune carries a lot of lost love and a lot of retrospect. Welcome to Miami Beach folks..

  • It sounds like an electric version of thrasher, and it's even better.

  • there are too many buried N.Y. treasures which need to be dig out... hopefully with the upcoming archives volumes. Volume 2 is gonna be a bomb, probably the greatest thing to be released in musical history to my ears. lets hear some mid-to-late 70s neil young.. way too awesome !

  • It's a pity Neil doesn't have a song for Jesus Christ

  • thanks for all these songs!!

  • Basic melody is similar to "Thrasher" from "Rust Never Sleeps"

  • Sounds like a song that the Beach Boys should have been doing backing vocals or America.

  • I had forgotten how good this song was. I have it on the Rocknroll Cowboy bootleg somewhere. Great posting!

  • My only copy of this was an onld Stills/Young bootleg. Nice to have a great version and well recorded. Thanks.

  • Captain Kennedy which was later rewritten into "Ride My Llama" is much better then the former...if you can check out the Chrome Dreams bootleg, it has a lot of songs that would end up on later albums and better versions, like an acoustic version of too far gone, powderfinger, Captain kennedy before it was rewritten into "Ride My Llama", a pre sped up/punked version of sedan delivery. If he actually released it or Homegrown before, one of those two would have his greatest album easily...
