Green Schools Summit

The Green Schools Summit was organized by FAU's Pine Jog Environmental Educational Center to promote the sharing of ideas about how to green schools day-to-day operations and curriculum, with an emphasis on practical and easily implementable steps. Exhibits by local non-profit agencies and vendors who offer environmentally-based goods, services, or educational opportunities were also available. This year's Palm Beach County Green Schools Recognition Awards event will be held on April 21, 2010 at the Community Foundation. The Community Foundation provided a grant to FAU's Pine Jog Center from the Environmental Endowment Fund, The Hans and Mary Stratmann Intergenerational Fund and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Fund of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. To learn more about the program please visit http://www.ourgreenschools.com.
