'Scottish flavour' melodic guitar instrumental

This is one of my favourite backing tracks to play along to at the moment. It always seems to have a distinct Scottish feel to me, so I threw in a bit of 'you take the high road' for good measure! It has a lot of stock phrases that I usually do in one form or another, plus various bits of improv.

I hit some sharp bends and some of the timing is a bit dodgy, but otherwise I rather liked this first take so I thought I'd just put it up warts 'n' all. I may not be the cleanest of players, but at least it's quite melodic this time!

Kids have a habit of turning up to annoy you whenever you hit a record button, and right at the close my 3 year old daughter is just off-shot waving a newspaper at me, as if her future sanity will be forevermore scarred if I don't take it that instant! You can see me briefly try to wave her away, to no avail, and the paper waves into view at the last bar!

Tech info: the guitar was a 90's Strat plus, but I didn't like the lace sensors, so now it has bare-knuckles pickups, as well as a few other upgrades. Sound via Guitar rig 3 running on a Macbook pro.

This is one of such BRILLIANT soloing that a person can just close their eyes and lean their heads back and just listen to just how beautiful and well played it is. Every aspect of it is just perfectly executed!!! Speed and feel.
