It's basically physics. When she moves her arms in, they will reduce her rotational inertia. Kind of like stream lining yourself to reduce resistance.

this is a basic question, but her arms came closer to her chest as she turned. is there a technique for that? a name? is it acceptable? answers greatly appreciated.
