John Hurley was a friend of mine and was one of the few people who could do "Common People" right. John's soulful version captured the feel of poverty that many white people suffer. Love of the Common People needs a Reggae sound like a gold fish needs a typewriter.... Its a joke.. The story in the song is lost when the artist sings it so fast.
