  • what mikrophones do you use?

  • to get a good depth of field, zoom in a little bit, open the iris and use a neutral density filter.

  • From playing around with cameras in general, it seems aperture and how much you zoom (focal length?) is a nice combination for that filmic DOF effect.

  • I just got my XH A1 today, and I'm going through your tuts. Did you do one about depth of field? That's one thing I haven't been able to get right. (I know the theory behind it, but not how to do it properly)

    Very helpful videos btw!

  • Looking for a good tutorial on using the xha1 as a capture card (Hooking it up to a VCR/composite input and sending it out to my computer using the - firewire or ???) let me know.

  • Shut up dude. I hate people that talk like this. Let them use whatever camera they want.

  • the xha1 is a pro cam and should not be your first cam !
