He said MAYBE JKD, maybe Wing Chun... I suggest Sifu Lam, mention all the martial arts there is so no one would be offended.
Confirm with Yip Chun?? LOL. Seriously now...

Has Ip Chun confirmed this?

I don't think he's discredting JKD exactly because he even says "Maybe Jeet Kune Do, maybe Wing Chun, they show like this..." when referring to the move. So it may be more that some instructors out there think it's advantageous, but strays away from the elbow-down principle.

It's an incorrect move by over extension.There is no Man Sao Wu Sao positions doing the technique this way. Economy of motion shows how 3inchs of elbow travel can take a man down. Being a Wing Chun artist I've seen many European Ving Tsun schools doing it this way.In this position your upper hand may also become trapped by a counter lop sao.

@JKD008
I'll back you up on that one. Lee would have lop sao and back fist over the arm, not lop sao and uppercut. Gary Lam either doesn't know JKD or was trying to discredit JKD. I think the latter.

When your getting hit in the head or throat, trapping with your elbow is not the first thing your worried about. Plus the brief moment you are under the arm with the strike you could on your way out use the elbow to take his balance while striking with the other arm. But what would I know.

it`s for fighting ... but . . .
what about the position of the body? the positions that you use to control the chi . . .
the chi is the power on the center of the body right?
and you can move the power ( the chi ) to the hand or something, for more power in the hit,
do you have videos with that kind of positions or moves?
