... Ps I've sat and watched a single raccoon give a pack of hounds hell and get away while escaping pretty injured and the hound came home pretty damn beat up. ..

@CroatiansWithGuitars ...ha-ha! it takes 2-3 40 lb hounds to bring down just one 35 lb coon. sometimes hounds have to be euthanzed after a fight with larger adult coons.

Umm no they do not make good pets, Very friendly raccoons are far and few between, unless you buy a raccoon for a reputably raccoon breeder, and then still its very likly he won't be a good pet.. stick to dogs.
