@MrDoobie834 1993, not 1999. Clinton says in this interview nobody knew Al Qaeda existed at the time of "Blackhawk Down," or the Battle of Mogadishu, which took place in 1993. Clinton is far from assuring, but historical analysis requires accuracy.

President Clinton, Mr. Wallace keeps trying to talk about your Global initiative and you don't want to talk about it. You are being very rude to Mr. Wallace. You have been in the public eye for years and you should be used to questions. He was respectful to you in his asking of the question. You just kept complaining about how people had picked on you. Why can't you get passed it? I have always been pretty impressed with the way you handle yourself, but you definitely had a bad day on this one.
