@JamesRGoebel You got it all wrong here... Pryor... Carlin... and others... did REALLY bad their first time. Why? Because they were actually trying to be original and do something new and different. See, this girl here in THIS video is just a snooze fest. I'd rather someone get in a fight with her, or boo her... or ANYTHING... else.... she's just boring. Can't even listen. Get the difference? You're only backing up my points. Real comedy takes guts.

So I stumbled upon a documentary last night from 1985, produced and directed by Richard Lewis. It's entitled "My First Time" and it shows footage of Richard Pryor, George Carlin and others talking about their first time doing standup. It was unanimous, they all said they bombed - Carlin was even boo'd offstage and Pryor said he ended up in a fight!
Furthermore, Pryor said, "If you feel like everyone hates you and thinks you're terrible, you're on track."

@JamesRGoebel Yeah, I'm sure George Carlin, Lewis Black, Dave Attell, Chris Rock, Jim Carey, and Robin Williams sucked this hard their first time on stage. Oh, don't compare her with THEM? Oh, you mean, she sucks and you just can't strap on the balls to admit it? If you can't do a *funny* set, then just don't do one.
