SouthWest Trains Today - Part 1: The South-Western Mainline

This is the first in a number of video's including the SouthWest Trains TOC after you people voted for it as the second train company for me to film after in my TOC voting video.

This series is split into two parts: Part 1: The South-Western Mainline Part 2: Suburban Berkshire and Clapham Junction

This video includes Basingstoke and Eastleigh stations which are situated on the South-Western Mainline. Both are busy junctions with a large variety of traffic including freight. Rolling stock in this video includes the mainstay of SouthWest Trains' fleet, Desiro classes 444 and 450's. Also included are class 158's and 159's. In the next video, Part 2, there will be footage from Clapham Junction in the daytime and at night with all of SouthWest Trains' regular classes of EMU featuring along with a 159, film from Winnersh Triangle in the heart of Berkshire in the day and night with a few 458's and footage of 450's and 458's at Staines on the junction with the lines from Reading and Windsor.

**PLEASE NOTE** The footage from Clapham Junction will not be shown in the next video, it will be in the one that follows it. This is due to the YouTube limit being around 10mins for length, my film was totalling nearer 15!!

@charlie2268 Cheers mate :) I think SouthWest Trains phased out platform tickets quite a few years ago. Either have a word with the staff of the barriers, or get the cheapest return ticket so you can get through the barriers. Ben.
