I don't advise using any caulk to hide screws. painters caulk/latex ect... it tends to shrink leaving a concaved dimple. you could use drywal compound or spackel but if inexperianced might need to sand, possible damage to foam covering(thin paint or primer). some adhering products require u to glue in place (item) then remove (item) and wait to go taky then put (item) back in place. Time consuming but no screws. 5 to 10 min. at most. The medalion holds NO weight , the electrical box does.

there is a product called liquid nails?? make sure you use the one for foam!! some adhesives can melt the foam. some all purpose. plastic/polly ect. Any product read the label. some are Not for use with foam or plastics(Polly) vinyl.ect. can melt or warp the product you are trying to install. One product can be for adhering (Glue) ...one for covering cracks (Caulk)... for expert use screws then the proper product to hide them save time?? or read label adhere proper, no screws.

@gazovbolton07 There is nothing wrong with the way he installed the medallion. Screws aren't absolutely necessary. One could use thin gauge nail, or simply tape to the ceiling while adhesive drys.
