Diablo - Diablo, including the ending cinematic (Diablo 1)

This is the story and lore behind Diablo's "Diablo", the final quest in the game. I've included the ending cinematic as well.

Note: you can pull Diablo out of his chamber with holy bolt, unfortunately my warrior hasn't even learned the first rank of it.

@2ndsB4 The story goes that as the hearo travels down to the depths of hell, Diablo gives him ideas of how to destroy him. Diablo does this because he needs a stronger vessel to take him out of the Cathedral dungeons. The hero mistakes Diablo's ideas for his own and so goes through with putting the stone into his head.

How do you get to the 7th floor (not 17th) in this game? I'm on the 6th floor, and the whole area is blocked off. Did it have something to do with the Shrine I went up to?

@OMGltsFred I would not agree. This game is very easy. More easy than most other single quest games. The only big misstake i guess is to not get lots of Vitality, except of that its just hack and slash. Very good feeling and story tho!
