@durhamdf You said....That I had said Obama was taxing the rich, to give to the poor. Thats false. I said Obama was saying that, to get the lazy to vote for him. That happens to be true, that is WHAT he is doing, right now lately. In thhat he is saying those things, wanting it done, makes it a legitimate topic to agree, or disagree with. The 47% NOT paying income taxes are those with an income, not everyone. (AGI) State/ local taxes are more regressive. We were discussion Federal issues.

@luvcheney1 Lol are you trying to convince me that you are upset that Obama lied to his base since he hasn't raised taxes on the rich?! And the bottom 47% paid no income taxes in 09' because LIKE YOU SAID we are in a massive recession, many of those are below the poverty line or unemployed and the rest qualified for tax credits designed to stimulate consumption. And they still pay more in Payroll/state/local taxes soooo....This all just proves my point that taxes are historically LOW.

Obama does get lazy folks to vote for him, with "promises" to tax the rich. What is untrue about that? As for "tax cuts" in the stimulus, Obama claimed to cut taxes on 98% of the public ( credits to income tax), when the bottom 47% of the public with positive AGI dont even PAY income tax. Huh?

@luvcheney1 Now you are back on the overall tax burden. If you had bothered to be reading the last 50 comments we have been talking about effective tax rates. The major point I have been making, in case you missed it, is that Obama hasn't raised a single tax and has actually cut taxes further through the stimulus bill which was nearly 40% targeted tax cuts. So your earlier rant about obama taxing the rich to give to the lazy poor is not based in reality. Maybe reality for a Fox News viewer!

@durhamdf Tax rates are not the only thing that has an effect on tax revenue. You say, "So what if we are in a recession, the measurement adjusts since GDP decline 6% in 08. It is just a ratio of earnings to taxes paid". Gee, unemployment went from 5% to 9%, a 80% increase (A fucking RATIO), with food stamps, MediCaid, all increasing massively. Govt spending WAY UP, revenue DOWN from recession, and you actually only a 6% problem exists from recession?

What part of this don't you get fucktard, corporations and people are currently pay a lower percentage of their income in taxes then they have in 60 years which is undeniable and I have no problem with since this is what mainstream Keynesian economic theory would dictate you do in a large recession. Obama is such a socialist which is why taxes are currently LOWER THAN UNDER BUSH! Sorry kid, YOU are fucking clueless.
