Free hugs in Dubai - couldn't these people realized that this should be a very conservative city? Couldn't they observed how the locals lived? You don't need to research girls, just look around and you'll find out what I mean. Free hug is a brilliant idea and it worked in lots of countries and it's even touching to see people hugging people. You forgot to consider "culture", free hugs movement is beautiful, but careful as it may be offensive to others, so just do it with somewhere applicable.

If this girl ended up hugging a middle aged man, the headlines in the Western Newspapers would have bee: "Suicide Bomber attempts to rape as shopper". So yes, there is a great difference in culture. It's also highly inappropriate for young girls to start hugging people they do not know who may be serial killers, pedophiles etc.
Silly concept for silly people. All you westerners have to be is nice and just smile to passerby's - despite looking Muslim:)
