"Hometown Democracy" is classic tyranny of the majority. It is UN Agenda 21 in disguise. Do your research. If one person can not take or control my property without violating my constitutional right, why can a group of men do it? We are a republic for a reason. There are many other options for controlling developers greed. Vote NO on tyranny.

It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion: Amendment 4 gives you a direct way to voice your opinion on land use changes approved by your local commissioners at the ballot box.

The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me:

The best way to answer local government is to vote on issues that affect property taxes and quality of life.

Local residents are not foreign interlopers.

Try reading the donor list for Floridians For Smarter Growth and you will see who the real special intererest groups are... the Florida chamber of Commerce and the Florida Home Builders Association.

The citizens of Florida can hardly be called a special interest group for wanting to regain control of their quality of life.

this is comical because the song says come to Florida and the irony is that if amendment 4 passes, no one will come to Florida! Especially businesses. We would be the only state in te nation with such a ludicrous law and when a business owner is deciding where to go, it won't unfortunately be here. PLEASE VOTE NO ON 4. There are better ways to promote smarter growth in Florida.

This is why I support Amendment 4, because I AM the property owner. I retired on a small fishing lake in Central Florida. Currently the Plan for my area is zoned Agricultural.

Now a developer wants to drop a Club Racetrack where car owners can run their jet propelled cars for 12 hours a day. This track is going in 1 mile from my house. My noise level, according to their data? Same as a smoke alarm for 12 hours a day.

They can't spot zone it today so they backdoor it via the Comp Plan.

@JillYelverton What we get is FREEDOM. ...and yes, there are many problems associated with freedom, that is what life is all about, solving problems, but we did become the God-given greatest nation in history because we were free. The latte sipping elite progressives can not and will not ever understand free people. Once again, study UN Agenda 21 and you will understand "Hometown Democracy" Amendment 4. This video is absurd! Amendment 4 is funded by a handful of wealthy special interests bent upon ruining Florida's economy! It will open the door for lawyers to paralyze our towns with expensive lawsuits, funded by the taxpayers. VOTE NO on AMENDMENT 4.
