An abandonded New york city subway station was on tour on January 27, 2007. The tour was hosted by the NYC Tranist Mus. The station was closed in 1945 after the near by Brooklyn Bridge station dominated the crown near the city hall area. This is such a beutiful station that is left in the dark and doesn't get enough attention.

  • yeah...i dont know why but for some weird service change both 5 and 6 trains were termainting at BB and looping around city hall

  • Cant they just place wooden or lightweight metal boards on top of the gaps thentake them off before the train starts leaving?

  • R142? Going through the City Hall Loop? That's rare. You must be very lucky to catch an R142 5 gong through City Hall Loop.

  • the readon they shut this station down is because the platform's curve. as you can see, there is a tremendous gap between the train and platform due to the curve so thats why i think it was shut down, a hazard to passengers
