  • I dont wanna sound like an ass, but personally I dont think you're good enough to have such a kit. At least not yet. You do have some talent and some quick foot work I will admit but I've seen drummers that are 10 times better and faster with half the toms and a single bass, double pedal. Good shit though.

  • @DarkestSidesoftheSun Take a look at how many years it is since i uploaded it! But i do agree.

  • No offense dudes but Tama kills pearl

  • care. it depends on what sound you prefer :p

  • To, What symbal / high hat brand do you use?

  • @DrummingNonStop i agree Tama make some incredible sounding drums and i have nothing against them but good drums come at a price. Yes, DW prices are through the roof but in reality they are amazing sounding and looking drums! DW's aren't like say, Craviotto because even though Craviotto make good drums but THEIR pricing is ridiculous!

  • @JaKeHs135 DW is nothing towards Tama. People just assume that it's better because of it's ridiculous pricing.

  • @DarkestSidesoftheSun the greated deummer in the world can play on 4 piece kit bro its just what ur comfortable with u dont need to be amazing to have alot of toms its just you want a variety of sounds...

  • @bigjayindyt well DW kills Tama.

  • Judas Kiss?! Metallica dude thats awesome

  • @drummersetsfire thanks a lot for the advice pal

  • @KINGmatan hey, ddrum makes a maple shell pack kit for $700 brand new. imo, don't try to go to a music store & play diff kits; sound varies SO much just in what kinds of heads are used, and how they're tuned.. so a really nice DW kit could sound like crap compared to a well-tuned percussion plus (btw, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING that says percussion plus on it).

for metal, pearl exports may not be loud enough.

find as many KNOWLEDGABLE drummers as you can & play on theirs till u find 1 u like.

  • @DarkestSidesoftheSun - pearl's export series is on their lower end; even a set up like this is well under a grand. and i've seen absolutely terrible drummers (who never even play anymore) with $5,000 Ayotte/DW kits, another $3-4K in cymbals, and they couldn't touch this kid's abilities. I've been playing the same birch Pearl Export Pro kit that my dad bought me for my 10th birthday. i just turned 29. (they don't even make export pro anymore)..

    lighten up.

  • @DarkestSidesoftheSun just because you've seen people better than him, doesn't mean he shouldn't have that kit, i think he's really good actually...
