I wouldn't doubt that the sound designer for the original Star Wars used sounds like this, all of the sound effects were from organic sources. There were no synthesized sounds.

One of the most amazing birds on the planet. The intricacies of their voice, the amazing ability to mimic anything from the sound of a chainsaw toh uman speech, is simply astounding.

This is a dominance display between two males. All three of the calls which are most prominent here are common territorial and dominance display calls.
The most common call is known as the "Space Invaders" call as it sounds like classic arcade space battle games. This call is also strongly featured in courtship display.
The "plink" call is not mimicry of a "hydraulic ram" as suggested elsewhere in the comments. It's a standard dominance call and is rarely used except in encounters between males.
