yep, Kyle, the yellow haired guy, is..the leader of their group. Loni, the guy he seemed to absorb, is his brother, or at least..close friend. In the two dimensional Tales of... games when a teammate joins you, they just seem to be absorbed into the main character, which I always found odd.

They're all using attacks they shouldn't be using. Reala shouldn't be able to use Kyle's skills. Loni shouldn't be able to cast those spells since those spells are Reala's. Apparently this version has a bug when you select the skill/magic button on the menu and then press one character but then switch to another with the shoulder buttons. The first character chosen ends up using the skill.
Something like that. ^_^ That's what I gathered anyway.

Yeah I can't figure it out either, the graphics are nice though. At 0:33 the yellow haired guy seems to absorb another guy, I assume this just means he has recruited him (or is that the bug referred to in the title?). Kinda strange how they start off fighting flightless birds and then the boss is a tree.
