PS: Desculpem-me pela afinação. O vídeo foi feito rapidamente pra um amigo e tomou outras dimensões com o decorrer do tempo, e pra não perder a troca de comentários e infos que se seguiram no youtube, tomei a decisão por não refazer os samples.

  • hey at 6:27 the hold function seems to fade away, but what i read about this pedal from a site is that the loop on hold function will abruptly end. is my ears just messed up or is there a way to fix that?

  • @petree

The hold function continues until you press and hold the footswitch. Just when you remove your foot, the repetitions will stop. That in the case of DD-3, not sure if DD-7 repetitions remain after you remove your foot, like a fade. In the sample I recorded and you mentioned (6:27), I did not stop the effect, perhaps it was his impression.

  • @caracoles01 i think you kinda misunderstood my comment a little. i understand that you have the foot held down the whole time. but what i've read about the dd-3 is that loop on the hold function will so to say "cut" off at the end of the loop before it repeats again. To sum it up, the delay on the hold i heard is kinda sketchy because it creates a delay that will create a sound, abruptly end all noise, then repeat the delayed section so the transition between each delay is awkward.

  • @petree

I understand what you said now, it seems to me the following: The DD-3 has very little time to HOLD. If the person makes the phrase so the cycle goes beyond the minimal time, this will be cut sharply, causing it to give it effect you mentioned. The problem then is to fit the size of the musical phrase. Note that my sample contains a very small phrase, which prevented the court ahead of time.

(I do not speak English, I'm using google translator, sorry if I get confused what I wrote).

  • how do i get the "punchy-earry" sound out? When i play sometimes with the pedal it makes really earry sounds sometimes, you prolly know what im reffering to? like when you attack strong with your pick, almost like a zakk wylde type squeal on a higher string it cuts tonality and gives a harsh sound. Anyone know how to set the pedal to fix this?

  • cathedral at 3:00 :D

  • Thanks for this vid! i got one DD-3 for quite some time now but always wondered if my effect is "normal": the "effect level", even when on the lowest position lets quite some of the effected signal. ARe all DD-3 like this or just mine?

  • @caracoles01 not at all! i understand perfectly what you said. thank you for clearing things up for me!
