Created by Moneer CHERIE. A collection of Old and Rare Assyrian photos. Mainly originals from my collection, few from the net and other sources. This Slide is a window to the past of a nation that stood the test of Time and is still in a War of Survival.

  • I don't know you but I love you for posting this. What beautiful people, culture, strength. When I watched this, it truly amazes me to see and hear people argue against their true ethnicity. How can people turn their back on these Gabbara's that gave their life so that we can say, "I am an Attornaya and proud". One name, one nation... Assyria. We are the nation that stood firm and kept our language, our culture, our blood pure. We never became ARAB, we are ASSYRIAN...we will never compromise.

  • i love every thing about this video,,,the pics, the music and most of all the voice of singing...thx very very much for posting,u really know what people want to see and hear....

  • ...im having a hard time trying to figure out why anyone would hit the "dislike" button ??

  • Also northern Iraq/Mesopotamia was originally inhabited by Sumerians and Akkadians(Assyrians ARE Akkadians)...the first written inscriptions in the area are in Akkadian and Sumerian.

  • @goran21715 Kurds are nothing to do with the Medians at best they descend from the Corduenne, a people from central Anatolia, they have no ancient history in ancient Mesopotamia, they are recent arrivals. The Kurds are also NOT related to the Hurrians, Manneans or Gutians. Those peoples spoke LANGUAGE ISOLATES and disappeared from history thousands of years before the Kurds were ever mentioned , whereas the Kurds speak an INDO-IRANIC language.

  • goran is a inbred kerd who sits around and copies and pastes useless crap that isn't excepted nor is it taught by Academia .Go back to your cave in iran or afghanistan where you belong.

kurd in iranic language means "NOMADIC TENT DWELLER", go figure !

There is not one prominent university in the western world that has anything in their Ancient Mideast curriculum about kurds having any connection to any ancient people especially the Medes. Are your parents first cousins, goran?

  • @KingAshurbanipal Arbil (also written Erbil, or Irbil) (Akkadian: Arba-ilu; Arabic: اربيل‎ Arbīl; Kurdish: ھەولێر‎ Hewlêr; Sumerian: Urbilum; Syriac-Aramaic: ܐܪܒܝܠ Arbaelo

Arbil, Urban life at Arbil can be dated back to at least 6000 BC,[3][4] and it is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.[3][4] At the heart of the city is the ancient Citadel of Arbil. The Hurrians were the first to establish Urbilum and expand their rule to the rest of Northern Mesopotamia. Afterwards

  • @goran21715 The kurds who live today in Arbil came to it just 200 years ago, and this fact is from the mouth of tribal their chief who had 8 wives and was interviewed on tv. I am yet to see one archaeological evidence in north Iraq to show it as being related to kurds. Kurds we all know are not Sematic but Caucasian from central asia (ie: Azerbijan). The Ottoman Empire brought them and placed them as buffer zone between itself and its enemy the (Shaia) Persian Empire.
