The verse 2's about this girl named Yvette, she lives out in Queens, push the red Corvette.
Everybody else celebrated Independence Day by buying fireworks in 1996. You know how I celebrated July 4th? I went to the store to pick up Lost Boyz' "Legal Drug Money"!

@mikebuckets 1996 was a great year- not just for hip hop, but music period. I was going to the store picking up the latest releases almost every week! I remember that holiday well, because it was one of the few times where a new album came out on a holiday. De La Soul's "Stakes Is High" was out the same day as well, and I was going to buy both- but I could only afford one. Good thing Wal-Mart had De La on sale that day, and even better that De La didn't curse on their records, LMAO!!!
