  • this scene makes me feel that Carl now realises the house and the stuff isn't Ellie, which is very moving

  • @superstrok99 lol, i guess thats why Giacchino makes this song entitled "memories can weigh you down"

  • i love how this scene shows how important music is in a movie. without the music this scene would only be half as good.

  • This is easily my favorite scene in this film; I always feel tears of joy welling up when Carl is cheering as the house soars, and then we see that he placed the two chairs side-by-side. The scene itself is great, but the MUSIC, WOW! The music is spellbinding! Your spirits really soar with the music, especially from 0:52 onward! This is such a great film, and I think it's just as inspiring as a film like It's a Wonderful Life.

  • @superstrok99 yeah hahaha you should be a detective

  • I confess: watching this clip made me cry as I always cry watching the whole movie.

  • I love Up, it's arguably my favorite movie ever. What I love about this piece is that Carl realizes that Ellie is not in the house's furniture, she's in himself, and he must threw all that stuff away so he can save what matters today. Even without those things, Ellie will forever live in Carl's heart.

  • @classifieds103 and Dug needs to let go that there is not squirrel, no matter how much it catches his atten..SQUIRREL!

  • This whole movie is about letting go. Carl needs to let go of Ellie. Russel needs to let go of his father - or the fact that his father won't be there for him any longer. And Muntz needs to let go of an unrealized dream. In this scene we see the "letting go" - Russel taking matters in his own hands and Carl moving on from ellie's death. We all know what happens if you dont, right Mr. Muntz?

  • " i was hiding under your porch because i love you" AWWW

  • I know its really really picky, and it doesn't bother me I love this scene. But if Russel could never climb up to the house until the end how did he get up on the roof to get the balloons?

  • "i was hiding under the deck... because i love you ;["
