A picture history of the Dodge Charger from 1964 to 2008. The song is Ladies and Gentlemen by Saliva. MOPAR OR NO CAR! One more thing, I just recently learned of the 1968 Dodge Charger III concept car, you can see picture of it here... http://www.motortrend.com/future/concept_cars/112_0211_dodge_charger/

  • the last year for the HEMI was 1971. So you couldn't get a factory 426 HEMI in 1972-1978.!?

  • Huh, i thought that i fixed that before i posted it on youtbe.

  • What was dodge thinking in 75? I wish when the brought the charger back they would have done a retro version like ford did with the mustang. 68,69 and 70 are the only dodge chargers in my book.

  • From 1975 1979, Dodge wanted to make a more luxurious Charger for a changing market.

  • I Like the charger. But theres one thing that i dont like about them in the modern versions. THERE 4 DOORS. Muscle cars shouldnt have 4 doors. or they should make a 2 door version indtead. That would make them more like the originals.

  • More facts, Mopar gave the porducers of "The Dukes of Hazzard 500 Chargers, only 30 or 35 were drivable after the show ended. The Plymouth Super Bird was the first car in NASCAR history to break the 200 mph barrier

  • 69 dodge charger R/T and 99 dodge charger R/T concept are my dream cars

  • man I wish I had the 1969 Dodge Charger RT

  • @gawnfishin2day That fact about the Dukes of Hazzard was interesting, but actually in 1969 Buddy Baker took a Dodge Daytona to 200 mph to be the first to break the 200 mph barrier.

  • how many 1972 Dodge Chargers had the 440 six pak engine?

I'm not sure, maybe only one or two. they were going to make them but they decided not too after a few were made. there also were a few 1972 Road Runner/GTX with the 440+6 very rare cars

  • Hmm I did some checking around the net. apparently there was a 1978 Charger , only early in the model year and it was dropped during the year. production numbers were low

  • I guess the 1976 is a Charger, one of the more base models. It wasn't maybe until 1977 that it was named the Monaco????

  • the 1976 in the vid looks like a Monaco not a charger. The Charger was re grilled in 1978 and became a magnum the charger name was dropped

  • the 69 through 74 dodge chargers were the ultimate best making in the charger history...cant believe they stopped making the muscle type chargers and started making grandma cars

  • 3:20 the largest engine was the 440

  • sigh the late seventies suck big fucking balls for car designs!

at the same time the chevelle looked like shit too!

and of course the mustang always looked like shit but even more so till the 90's

another thing i agree they shouldent make them four door! make a new design with two doors i bet sales will go up substantualy especily for people with ideas when i getthe money i want to buy a charger and make a superbee out of it!
