crazy thing about this man is that i have never seen any player in baseball be universally loved you know. Its crazy, i remember watching i think it was the game before where he homered at the night game to put seattle up, and I am a Dodger fan been to many Dodger games and I know how hostile fans get to opposing players but man the love the crowd showed and started applauding Junior gave me a goosebumps. Greatest of all time in book too man!

yeah, i forgot to add the starting lineups to the beginning of the video, and when they announced his name it was all good cheers for griffey. no matter where he goes he'd get my respect.

if it wasnt for ken griffey, the mariners would probly not still be around. seattle owes him alot. he is one of my hero's growin up. great guy.

the mlb owes him a lot. he took on the dark years after the lockout and won the fans back with his play.

i am somewhat new to baseball, what was the ''lockout''?

there was a players strike in 1994, and it happened late into that season. so they had no world series in 1994. so it kinda drove the fans away from the game. what sucks is that griffey had a real good season that year, and he didnt get to finish it.
