The best thing about TOOL is the near perfect balance of Drums, Guitar, Bass, and Vocals. Adam doesn't show off with a guitar solo in every song like 99.999% of metal bands and prefers to make melodic riffs (which is why he's great). And Maynard knows the other members are amazing and gives them the credit they deserve. Add in the best drummer of our time (possibly top 3 in rock history) and 1 of the most creative bassists and you have an incredible band whose music will last longer any1 today.

@CaptainGalacticMusic thats because the bass is a huge part of tools music and is really another instrument as opposed to what most bands do and bury the bass in the song so much you can barely hear it. I love bands that really utilize the bass, like Iron maiden, rush, faith no more, and black sabbath.

This song keeps me alive. I'm in severe pain every day, 24/7, and sometimes it makes me wish I was dead. I listen to this song and I remember we are eternal, all this pain is an illusion. Our lives are over in a blink, and I won't remember the pain after I leave this body holding me. At least, that's what I'm hoping.
