Ben has an absolutely AMAZING voice! AND he's a GREAT dancer. As far as I can see from the clips I've seen, he's the only good thing about Hairspray the Musical. He may not have been right for Joseph but he's still AWESOME!!! And hot! :D

To see him now is pure pleasure, with a national touring experience on his CV (with Michael Ball - check out the Past & Present DVD), singing as clear as heaven, not one note going wrong (it was all a matter of experience in the ADWD competition), with amazing stage presence and some very sexy moves. Not many people can measure up to the king of musicals, Michael Ball, and do it so well (my eyes were drawn to Ben James-Ellis, although I am a dedicated Michael Ball fan of more than 10 years!).

When you have seen the perfect eyes, the perfect smile, the perfect nose, perfect teeth, and of course the perfect body, you are sold and there is no return. He was the cutest boy there; now he is the hottest man ever. He was the best of all of them, he had everything against him, with several adorable vulnerabilities, but he fought with honour and perfect composure (so many cry-babies in the ADWD competition! talking back to the panel was just a sign of someone being very young and insecure!).

OMG! Ben James-Ellis! Oh my god!! How my heart ached for this beautiful boy. Oh - at the time, to imagine the potential of this magnificent 17-year old and how he was robbed of any decent treatment from a conspiracy panel; to know that an incredible talent was about to unfold; soon-to-be showman of the decade (check out Hairspray and the Michael Ball Tour). How can someone so young be so hot and sexy? - he is gorgeous and incredibly good-looking.

His surname is Ellis, but he now performs under the stage name of Ben James-Ellis. He had to adopt the stage name because there already was a Ben Ellis registered in Equity, the theater performers' union. "James" is actually his middle name.
