Persuasion (1995)

Here is an amazing story about unconditional love. Ciaran Hinds and Amanda Root play Wentworth and Anne..who do an amazing job! I had a lot of fun making this..although I had originally wanted to pair this with "Anymore" by Travis Tritt. This is Switchfoot's version of "Only Hope".

I love the novel 'Persuasion'. I've seen the tv production of Persuasion and loved it but is this one as good or better? What do you think?

@24JRosie You know, I've never read the novel, and I NEED to! :) And the t.v. production..I don't believe I've seen it? Unless it was the 2007 version..and I like that one because the girl who plays Anne did a great job with her emotions that I was attached to the screen:) This 1995 version, however, I love! I think these two do a wonderful job and they have a great chemistry:) If anyone else wants to comment to 24JRosie? It's a great question! :)

OH, how I love these two together! Lovely video. I'm so glad you put in the scene when Anne is asking Charles to be sure that Wentworth knows to come to the party that night and then... there he is; waiting for a word, a look... sigh. So romantic. When he puts his hand out and she puts her hand in his: perfection. Love this video.

@24JRosie I've seen both versions and prefer this one. I think it stays true to the heart of the novel.

I love this version so much more than the more recent one. I may be a bit biased though because the recent version messed up my most favorite scene where captain wentworth writes the letter to anne and her talk with captain harville. I thought that was horrible but other than that it was good. This version however was amazing!! :D
