same m8. I've grown these beats and they have a special place in my heart and always will have. When Arriva finally decide to say goodbye to these beasts i'm definatly gunna get 1 if i have the money. I couldn't see these disapper altogether. They mean to much

Whenever I've roda on a Merc, I've loved the engine sound. The Scania Omnicity is just as good but I've pretty much grown up with the 0405s when they used to run the 98/X99 Darlington - Redcar services so I know what they're like.

I work at the Darlington Depot, let me tell you the Scania onicitie (4656) we lent from Durham was a welcome change to the aging optares and DAFs.
virtualy all the drivers wanted to test it, shame for them it was only put on x59, moorbus and 713 services.
Nice bus to fix too (thats where i come in) apart from the fact it has tendency to collect pastic bottles behind the near side rear wheel

This has sounded like this for awhile even when redcar had it. I would rather have mercs than the omnicities at redcar. Mercs are much better. It will be a sad when the last merc is withdrawn from service

As someone who is now riding Prismas almost daily (and has just got off one five minutes ago!) I can safely say I would much rather be on an OmniCity. Still, the Mercs are nice enough.
