hay muchisimos cenotes hermosos en yucatan, es un lugar maravilloso lleno de cultura y una gran variedad de lugares y paisajes hermosos. Yo tengo la suerte de haber nacido ahi y todavia no conozco todos... VEN Y VIVE MEXICO !!!

Wait a minute... did you really see a shrimp, a blind albino cave fish AND the eel all on the same dive?!? And isn't that conch fossil actually from the Tajma Ha cenote cavern system?

The ALTO sign is posted at different cave entrances that require higher (cave) training and special equipment. Certain cave systems are really long, tight and complicated to navigate with strong currents...et cetera. We had done a very simple cavern dive that only required to use a qualified guide with cave equipment, allowing a max of 4 divers to follow with regular scuba gear. The safety rules in mexico are moderate, but respected by most dive operators.

Almost positive and unavoidable death to the untrained in cave diving.

the sign also says that over 300 cave divers and advance divers died going into that cave, because they got lost and the closest way out except that entrence is 1,5 km away.

Hi !! I just got back from snorkling at Dos Ojos. It was a wonderful experience.
