How do you do auto rotations on a RC helicopter? My pitch and throttle controls are linked together.

the best autorotation can be done with the robinson r22 60knots 600 feet all the way to the landing pad, if you know about flying a helicopter autorotation of the main rotor allows a controlled descent to an emergency landing in case of powerplant failure. can someone tell me a good helicopter to start autorotations with? is a raptor 30 a good starter?

I started auto's with a Raptor 30 myself. It is not always the case but generally a 50 is easier than a 30 and a 90 easier than a 50. I found that learning on the 30 was fine and gave me a good grounding in the basics. Now a 50 is not too much more expensive than a 30 so it might be worth going straight to one of those if you don't have anything already as they are just that bit easier. Have fun, mrhelichopper.
