  • hi, wat about transfering a 256MB ram from a Pentium4 desktop to a Core 2 dual desktop? Is the ram compatiable to the Core2dual? Hope to hear ur reply soon. =)

  • @trulypaintball99 ty 4 the reply :D

  • @mikser6666 there not one gb each then they gatta be like 1.5 each

  • @trulypaintball99 any ideas why 2x kingstones 1gb each give 3 gb ? ^^ ive asked around my contrys main city and i coudnt find anyone with sutch a thing :D

  • @GoBulbasourGo lol no i dont mean that. i mean a ddr3 ram with a ddr2 ram or even a ddr ram . if you mix one witht the other your ram will not function normaly or fully. there for the ram will get damaged or the motherboard might get damaged. so do not mix ddr3 ram with a ddr ram. but you can mix a 4g ram with a 3 g ram as long as its the same type

  • @trulypaintball99 Yes you can, You just can mix in the same channel, For example I have a 4gb 2133 in my slot 1 and 3, since there the same channel, but then i have 8gb 1600 in my 2 and 3, for a total of 24gb ram, Since i have 4x240 pin duel channel, But if you have a very advance mother board that supports quad channel all 4 sticks would have to be the same, and so on for hex channel, So all been said you just have to have the same type of ram in the same channel,

  • @mikser6666 ITS BECASUE YOU CANT!!! mix diffrent RAM together lol

  • @MELISSA84008 ...forgot to add that my warrant ended a few weeks ago....figures!!
