I agree with most of the comments, there is nothing now compared to the hollies, beatles, all the british invasion bands and the american bands on the scene, I am a dinosaur when it comes to music, I can't stand any of this modern electronic no talent crap these so called "artists" have now. Thank God for rock and roll, and I see from everyone else it will live on................!!

THE NEW WORLD,OUR WORLD,FRESH,small faces"itchychoo park"beatles "paperback writter",airplane"white rabbit",early psychedelic exploration, dreamers would end all wars, everybody love another, races together,it was a sweet dream, this song above most expresses to me,even today, that hallucinatory beauty of a new non violent, peacefull, world of love and mind, soul, spiritual exploration, boy were were maybe wrong, but it's still better than the world of ""now""

Well, Here's another 'Oldie', (Me !), chiming in. I just turned 59 & consider myself EXTREMELY fortunate to have started listening to Rock at the age of 4! Yep, Elvis did it. Then the British Invasion hit & we were awash in GREAT Rock. (I promised myself as I grew older I would NOT close myself off to new Rock.) There has been A LOT of good newer Rock but NOTHING like the Music the 'Invasion' began. e.g. Yardbirds to Aerosmith. THIS song is simply one of THE BEST, ever !

@TheAthenaDrummer You are incredibly smart and wise beyond your years, AthenaDrummer. From a guy (and ex-garage band member who played this stuff in the 60's). Keep on keepin' on!

I'm 64 ,& I was brought up in the period of this music, which I love ,however, the music today is just as good , you people who criticise it are generalising, there was, & is, rubbish in both eras, but what appeals to one listener, dosn't necessarily do anything for another.. That's humanity !!

I was born in 1979 so ive seen different music come and go, through the 80's, 90's and 2000's.By far and away though my favourite music era is the 60's..I cant stand all this ''der chicka der' shite that gets played on the radio these days.. songs from the 60's had a meaning, they told a story. Nowadays you get the likes of Lady GaGa and others who come up with one chorus and then sing it over and over again for a full 4 minutes. The only 'recent' ish band I currently like is ( or was ) Oasis.

I would love to take a time machine to England in the mid 60s. Just for a week or two to hit some shows and clubs. Bet it was amazing.
