Japan may be a pacifist country now but i think its important we remember in the past they were very aggresive towards the west. THey were not allies in the world wars

The decline of American power & prestige under Obama leaves the Pacific Rim alone to defend itself against China. The sooner Japan, South Korea, Taiwan & the Philippines acquire atomic weapons, & form an alliance of mutual support against the increasingly militaristic regime in Peking, the better. Allowing India into that alliance would also check the Islamist insanity in Pakistan. The USA is fast becomming a paper tiger. Good luck, Asia.
