They used to perform Mask from Iggy Pop's Beat'em up quite a lot around that time so you can't really say that they didn't deserve getting the award from that rotten piece of punk crooner. Not sure however if Iggy knew that the band existed as the facts were that HIM hadn't played any gigs in the States yet.
