Loyal Shadow wins with Maylan Studart

Loyal Shadow... What a nice horse!!! She is so awesome, ever since I watched her run in the begining of last year to give an apprentice an amazing win and always give this amazing stretch run, I wanted to ride her so badly, but I never did... Until the jockey on Belmont fall meet took off for the day and I substituted him and finally got to ride her!!! How lucky was I, I always watched her and now I got to ride her!!! We were 20-1 morning line, but I didn't care, I knew my horse was good and we won!!! Today this race was such a special win because she loves the turf and we didn't have turf all winter... So we had to take care of her and keep her fit until we got to run on the turf again. Trainer Gary Sciacca and Paul, his assistant and his groom Javier did an amazing job keeping her together and happy throughout the entire winter!!! I did all her breezes and it was so perfect when we won today, everything came together, all the work paid off and thank you so much, Paul Giacopelli the owner and breeder of Loyal Shadow who is such a lucky man to have such a great big hearted filly who loves to run!!!! It was a great day!!! I love this filly!!!!

Wow. I used to watch Sciacca horses training in all kinds of conditions, moving up in class, long layoffs...popping at 12-1, 20-1, 25-1, but 56-1? That's really amazing!

bring her home again friday maylan. you and sciacca have a good thing going with these horses on the turf. ive made bundles on the vin man, sister berta, and loyal shadow twice last fall and now this race. keep doing what you are doing.
