What a beautiful job you did on pillar restoration ! Years ago, I owned a home ( designated 100 years old and restored ) with a huge front porch, and we ( my husband and I ) had this same type of pillars. They sure add character to a house!

Interesting restoring job. These greek columns are glued wood strips, not unlike a carousel horse. The factory spent no time at all cranking them out. The work restoring them - if that were how they were made new - they would never have been bought - or built - prohibitive expense.
