songs and interviews in 1983 by one of the best punk bands in england.
discharge were from stoke-on-trent and one of their first gigs outside of stoke was a couple of miles from me in preston...unfortunetly i missed them...
a lot of their songs were about the realities of life and the things that so many people buried their heads from ie destroying our planet and the threat of nuclear war...it wasnt all about being a hippy if you were in CND !!!
the video quality isnt perfect, but the recording is priceless...
defiantly fucking priceless!

This is epic stuff. I believe this expose was taped in the spring of 1984 after they had finished their US/Canadian tour. They only performed a total 16 songs on this tour which added up to less than a 40 minute show. Garry & Pooch left the band soon after this interview & formed the Rogue Metal band Hells Belles who released 1 album on Raw Power Records sans Garry. I love Rainys’ teddy boy hair style & Cals’ Mayan Mohawk. This was what the band was about at this stage, great video thanx!!!!

maybe in the 60's CND was a hippy thing, but the mid 80's were a melting pot for Crust Punks & Hippy Travelers which mutated into Acid Rave, which was an even Bigger melting pot of types...
