Living in basements usually means dampness and can contribute to arthritis.Mold is nasty too,causing lung infections and junk.Basements are good for bands to practice in,and to do laundry,and store stuff.Spiders love basements.I can waterproof some basements but few do not leak unless they're top of a hill.They staycool in summer,except end of the day when heat rises from Earth below.Musty.Mildew.Radon I don't understand yet,but sounds like a Jap Monster.I saw Mothra looking GiantInsects on Mars
