SOME MEN NEVER STOP PRETENDING
Icky Twerp: The Electronic Babysitter is a peculiar cinematic experience in honor of a peculiar man, Bill Camfield, a popular television personality in Texas in the 1950's through the 80's. This is the true life story of a larger than life character, a Texas icon and a television pioneer. It was fifty years ago when Slam Bang Theater first aired. Now, you are invited to Icky Twerp's Slam Bang Theater once again for a glimpse into Bill Camfield's tragic and heartbreaking personal life and a nostalgic celebration of the singular brand of comedy, mystery and horror Bill Camfield brought to a generation of Texans.

  • Loved it when this &the Von Erichs owned Dallas.

  • I enjoyed the article in The Dallas Morning News today about Slam Bang Theater's Icky Twerp. I remember watching this Chanel 11 TV show when I was a kid. Boy my mother hated us kids to watch this show! Though I'm 58 years old I can still remember his apes, Dephinium and Ajax.
