The SCAR was designed to be modular and configurable to mission requirements. And to support SOCOM tactics (high rates of fire and maneuver).
So, it is overbuilt for the civilian shooter.
IMO, it is where the future military rifle ought to go. Move to a high-low mix so the 20% who do 80+% of the shooting get what they need.

@uiiiiop1234 Browning was never technically "all American." He sold his designs and worked for FN in Belgium long before he had his own company.
