Shaving Old English Sheepdog Part 3

Grooming an Old English Sheepdog for the show ring is a tough task! Keeping an oes in full coat in Texas during the hottest year on record was an impossible task for me! I admit I gave up! When your home is at 75 and the outside temp is above 100 keeping an Old English Sheepdog in full coat was not in the best interest of the dog. Dolly says BYE-BYE Happily to her winter coat! Dolly had been in an AKC dog show less than a month prior and completely brushed.
However while playing in the backyard one of her canine friends pushed her into the pool turning her into 1 big mat. Trying to work through those mats mixed with the Texas heat that had began lead me to the decision of Shaving Ms. Dolly.
